OKAPI INDUSTRIES is a manufacturing concern based in Isithebe, KwaZulu Natal and has been in operation for over 25 years.
The factory premises encompass over 6 000m2 with a staff complement of approximately 150 employees.
The company produces the following ranges:
- Pocket and Utility Knives
The famous 907E lock knife has been in production for over 200 years and is sold in all parts of the world. This knife is supplemented with a range of 40-60 other knives for local and overseas markets. In addition, OI produces industrial deboning knives and other specialised harvesting knives.
- Agricultural Hand Tools
A wide palette of tools are produced for the agricultural field. These include cane knives, corn knives, machates brush cutter blades, grass slashers and rubber tapping knives. These are supplemented by a range of spades, shovels and rakes.
- Scaffolding Component
OI produces components for the industrial scaffolding market - kwik stage scaffolding, event scaffolding, temporary stages, grand stands, standards, ledgers, scaffold boards, ladders. This includes ledgers, standards, beams, toe boards and other related scaffold products and accessories.
